Dupont is a French-American chemical company that was funded on July 1802, DuPont was the world's third largest chemical company based on market capitalization and ninth based on revenue in 2012. Dupont continued to expand moving into dynamite and smokeless gun powder, Eugene Dupont died 1902 his parents sold the company to his three great grandsons.The company subsequently purchased several smaller chemical companies, and in 1912 these actions gave rise to government scrutiny under the Sherman Antitrust Act.
Alfred I. Dupont Hospital for Children is a predictor hospital located in Wilmington Delawere . It is controlled by the Nemours Foundation , a non-profit organization created by philanthropist Alferd I. Dupont in 1936 and dedicated to improving the health of children. It is also referred to as the A I DuPont Institute for Crippled Children or more simply, the DuPont Institute.
